Gap Nonunion
in a fixed Fracture Femur
A 25 years old male sustained fr. left femur since 5 years. He was operated by open retrograde intramedullary Kuntscher nailing.
During the follow up period we noticed good bridging of the medial cortex while the posterolateral cortex was absorbed gradually till it ended with these last images:

What caused this absorption of the lateral cortex while the medial one did well ?
What to do now ?
