King Fahd Hospital -Madina Munawrah-Orthopedic Surgery Department
18 years old male sustained Road traffic accident 7 years ago which resulted in a severe comminuted open fracture of his right humerus .
He was referred immediately to OR where the wound was cleaned , debrided and temporarily fixed by intramedullary K- wire and external fixator.
He was admitted to the hospital two months later. The Ex-fix was removed and the fracture was fixed by plating. Postoperative period was uneventful. Patient was discharge in an Above Elbow Slab.
The patient did not show up for the last 7 years. He was presented to the OPD this week with the following X-Rays :
The Elbow is completely stiff and the whole movement is through the pseudojoint.
What is the best way to help this young chap ?
